Job Description

Oversee and develop instructional design for all training courses and materials. Manage training and development initiatives and special projects, present learning content for District Managers and stores through training meetings.

Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations, identifies, develops and conducts training and development activities for all associates.

  • Assess the needs of the organization and develop training contest as needed through formal Growth Track e-learning courses, training conference calls and webinars, new policy and procedures materials and videos, or more informal training one sheets and storyboard pieces.
  • Manage on-going review and updates of e-learning content and training folder materials.
  • Manage and develop District Trainers to ensure new managers are properly trained and transitioned.
  • Mentor and support the District Trainers.
  • Serve as Growth Track Online Learning Site Administrator.
  • Provide supervision and direction to Training Coordinator.
  • Create and prepare a variety of reports, surveys and other measurement tools.
  • Travel to field locations for training and assessments.
  • Conduct large training sessions to all level of associates within the organization.
  • Identify, outline and prepare training topics for associates.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Senior Leadership.
  • Performs other job duties per Senior Director of Operations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Education, Organizational Development or similar program.
  • 2-3 years’ experience developing curriculum focused on adult learners.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of specialized computer programs such as CEM, ADDIE Model, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • High level of creativity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to positively affect or impact adult learners at all levels of the education spectrum.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to all field locations.
  • Must be able to work extended hours or alternative schedules based on training needs.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop or crouch during teaching presentations or while performing daily activities of the job.
