Job Description:  Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Lead will supervise the performance of key inventory control functions at the Florence facility.  This role will be a critical team member with direct responsibility and accountability for executing the cycle count program, 444’s, and INR processes in the Florence facility.  This role will be directly responsible for supervising up to seven associates, with various tasks, throughout the course of business.  In addition, this role will possess a keen knowledge of all warehouse operations and will serve as a cross-functional representative to assess and correct day to day issues encountered by various departments. Compensation will be based on experience.   

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility and accountability for leading others in the execution of the cycle count program in the Florence facility. This will include performing counts, enforcing cycle count standards for IC team members, reviewing results of cycle counts, and reporting root-cause issues to Management for review and consideration. 
  • Perform and/or lead others in the performance of the 444’s, INR, and Adjustment processes as determined by IC Management.
  • Assistance/performance of work papers, metric scorecards, and reports for Inventory Control activities to AWBC Management.
  • Ability to lead a team of five to seven associates performing various tasks throughout the course of business.
  • Ability to use data and findings from inventory control activities to identify and assist in driving process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all company associates.
  • Assist on facility wide special projects as assigned by Inventory Control Management.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • BBA/Associates Degree Preferred. 
  • Minimum of high school degree with post high-school education is required. 
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Inventory Control, Audit/Quality, or warehouse operations with progressive responsibility.

Required Skills

  • Good verbal/written communication skills, to effectively present findings to peers and management.
  • Knowledge of warehouse/department functions.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of AS400 system (D&W, MMS), Microsoft excel, word and outlook.
  • Basic statistical analysis skills.
  • Able to lead a small team to complete audits, tasks, or projects as assigned by Inventory Control Management.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills are required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
