Job Description:  The sales & accounting coordinator will work with customers and sales agents in developing the growth of a new business which may include basic customer service duties, sales order processing, marketing -including trade show attendance - and sales support and reporting.  Accounting responsibilities to include receivable postings, inventory management and posting of invoices. Communication with all involved parties to minimize issues and ensure successful customer experiences is a must and will require strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with the sales agents, customers and vendors.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify problem areas to improve overall performance and builds strong relationships with sales reps to ensure their continued focus on driving company sales
  • Implements ideas to improve sales effectiveness and productivity, including development of reporting and dashboards for executive leadership and board of directors
  • Monitor and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Data entry and follow through from order to delivery
  • Organize marketing material, advertising and trade shows, including attendance at trade shows (25% travel)
  • Manage calls from sales associates, vendors and customers, regarding requirements and concerns
  • Including but not limited to accounts payable, invoicing and order entry
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate shipments from both UK and China
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Products) and ability to learn other software systems
    • Highly skilled in Excel (preferred), including pivot tables and import/export functions
  • Strong judgement and effective decision making
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written and ability to communicate with various functional departments, management, customers and vendors.
  • Must be a good communicator and problem solver

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities

  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.

This position requires travel and tradeshow responsibilities including travel to and participation in events
