Job Description

Responsible for responding to all service requests from the stores and Senior Management on a daily basis and responding in a timely manner. Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the corporate office facilities including daily cleaning. Supervising and dispatching technicians as needed. Approve quotes and maintain budgets in accordance with company standards and guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Receive service requests and dispatch to appropriate vendors for quotes and repairs.
  • Monitor and report outstanding equipment issues that extent beyond normal repair times.
  • Assist in reviewing budgets for weekly spending.
  • Read, reply to and file emails by level of priority.
  • Review and submit weekly payroll and vacation or other time off requests for the Construction Department.
  • Respond to on- call and emergency service requests as needed and participate in the “On Call” weekly rotation.
  • Review all capital request weekly for submission to the Director to comply with all financial and company guidelines.
  • Prepare and track Priority list of issues, timing and resolution.
  • Management of call volume through R&M team to ensure fast and cost-effective resolution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent GED required.
  • Knowledge of store operations preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to understand; identify Facility R&M issues across all Service Trades and offer sound solutions appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and manage budgets as prescribed.
  • Ability to identify and assign the correct vendor to the problem at hand. Knowledge of multiple vendors to evaluate which ones provide the best service at the best value. Comfort level with executing a competitive bid process when needed.
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedures related to repair and maintenance and ability to assess and make decisions up to $5000.00 without prior approval.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with company Senior management, vendors, store and home office associates and others to explain, identify and expedite the completion of any outstanding issues.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
  • Must be able to routinely lift objects up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to use hand tools as needed.
  • Must be able to climb ladders or scaffolds and inspect small or tight spaces as required.
  • Must be able to communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.
