Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Champion the Customer Service Culture at POS as laid out by our Company Standards
  • Drive register initiatives including MCC, Autorenews, M4M program, SMG Customer Satisfaction Survey, Donation Drives, Gift with Purchase promotions, and D2C sales
  • Train all new Associates on POS and Register Initiatives
  • Assist management with customer returns
  • Review the Key Metrics and Line Item Discount reports weekly to identify any training opportunities
  • Review the MFM cancellation report to identify any training opportunities
  • Ensure the At-the-Register and Front of Store product is merchandised to standards
  • Ensure Front-End checklists are completed and store conditions at POS are impeccable
  • Adhere to all Books-A-Million Policies and Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Positive background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of all required training courses
  • Comprehensive product knowledge

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Standing for up to 8 – 10 hours
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Speaking, hearing, bending, reaching, stooping, climbing
  • Ability to climb via step stool or ladder
