CAFÉ MANAGER:

Our Café Manager makes the biggest impact on our café customers. Their individual personalities and knowledge of our products are the biggest factor in our cafe’s success. We depend on our Café Manager to build relationships with their customers and local communities. By utilizing their creativity, our Café Manager creates a welcoming and unique experience. CAFÉ MANAGER AT A GLANCE:

  • Create a welcoming environment by greeting and engaging our customers while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Commitment to community involvement.
  • Maximizing profits and customer service by operating the store in adherence with all store policies and guidelines.
  • Represent the company as the frontline of customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Prepare specialty drinks, coffee, bottled drinks, food items, and baked goods. Operate and upkeep Café equipment.
  • Contribute to the store’s atmosphere by promoting a clean environment through daily/weekly cleaning, stocking inventory, and merchandising the café in accordance with company standards.
  • Support the bookstore as needed. Contribute to the overall success of the store by promoting all company programs and initiatives, i.e. Membership programs, donation programs and company sponsored programs and events.
  • Cash handling and register responsibilities. Process payments by totaling purchases, processing cash, credit/debit and gift card transactions.
  • Training and developing associates and managers in all areas of Café operations.
  • Maintaining a self-development program to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Informing and assisting the General Manager with the needs of the café schedule.

Job Requirements

 

Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, communication, and organizational skills
  • Management experience in food service industry
  • Proven ability to train, develop and motivate associates
  • Professional appearance
  • Positive background check.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a mature and conscientious manner.
  • Completion of required Training Courses.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for up to 8 – 10 hours
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb via step stool or ladder
  • Ability to operate café equipment, including but not limited to espresso equipment, blender, register, oven (if applicable), and other installed equipment
