Job Description

The Front-End Web Application Developer is responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages. The Front-End Web Application Developer must utilize HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and responsive-site development techniques. LAMP stack programming experience is preferred.

The Front-End Web Application Developer is required to work in teams alongside Back-End Developers, Graphic Designers and our ecommerce management team. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities

Development within JavaScript / AJAX, CSS and HTML5, and Responsive Sites.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
Compliance to standard IT development processes (SDLC).
Full life cycle development: analysis, design, testing and implementation.
Must be able to communicate both on a technical level with peers as well as with business teams in a non-technical manner.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Related work experience will be considered.
E-commerce experience preferred.
Experience with version control (CVS, Perforce), MySQL, Linux, Perl or PHP preferred.
Experience developing to ADA standards preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
Must be able to lift objects up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
Must be able to communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.
