Job Description:  The Inbound Exception and OS&D Coordinator will ensure the timely resolution of all receiving and OS&D (over, short & damaged) exceptions through thorough research, tracking and follow up.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve all receipt exceptions both internally and externally driven including but not limited to missed-deliveries & unmarked freight, overages, shortages & damage (OS&D), PO issues as well as unallocated and misallocated receipts
  • Quickly triage exceptions, prioritize accordingly and drive for fast resolution
  • Maintain current and detailed daily tracking of all ongoing exceptions and issues in need of resolution
  • Maintain an agreed to SLA for all issue resolution
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Establish SOPs as needed and enhance existing SOPs where deemed necessary
  • Create and maintain a daily dock check process
  • Review current exceptions with operations leadership daily with status and timeline for resolving each
  • Work with Distribution Center leadership to teach operations associates

Job Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior OS&D, problem area, clerical or exception tracking and resolution experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-motivate, work without direct supervision and maintain an aggressive approach to problem resolution
  • Ability to work well with other team members on tasks or independently at the discretion of the Senior Operations Manager
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a continually changing business environment
  • A thorough knowledge of data organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with senior management, executive management, and corporate office personnel

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.
