The Buyer is accountable for achieving budgeted sales, margin and inventory turnover goals for their designated area and will drive overall focused merchandise strategy and assortments. The Buyer will manage domestic and import merchandise and may drive proprietary product development. Merchandise is purchased to maximize results while enhancing the overall department, group and company strategy. This position reports directly to the Senior Buyer or Divisional Merchandise Manager and has management responsibility for Associate Buyer(s) and/or Assistant Buyer(s). The Buyer works closely with the Senior Management team, Merchandise Operations Group, Merchandise Planning, and Marketing/Omni Channel Group. The Buyer will be directly responsible for managing $12 - $27 million in sales volume with volume dependent upon complexity of the assigned categories.
